A bit about me…

I am a wife and mum of 2 beautiful girls and my bichon Cookie AKA the “cookie monster”. He is more of a human than a dog, extremely lazy and spends most of his time sleeping under our sofa. He likes to plod rather than run unlike his big sisters.
I trained as a children’s nurse and did this for 8yrs until I recently decided to take a career break.

I developed a passion for nutrition after discovering that I can actually enjoy food whilst shaping up with out the need to count points, syns, calories or replace meals with shakes. And better still I actually love it. So much so I qualified as a nutrition coach and I hope to use this to motivate and inspire others to lead a healthier lifestyle. In particular I would like to teach the younger generation about nutrition and fitness and help them to adopt a healthier lifestyle, starting with my very own children.

Nutrition isn’t all about losing weight its about health and happiness too. Educating our children and being role models, inspiring them to follow a healthy path and not fall into the trap of the diet world. I want my girls to grow up loving themselves and the bodies they are in. I hope by changing my ways and focusing on eating a “healthy diet” opposed to a “diet” I can achieve this. Easier said than done I know.

I absolutely love running and the benefits I feel from running. I have become a run leader in my running club to try and help others enjoy it as much as I do whilst taking on my own challenges. Next stop marathons and Ultra marathons.

I need to learn to love myself…….and this is the start of that journey. A journey of a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly.

Thanks for reading.

    Hi Jamie
You are a very inspirational lady. Love your posts on instagram and your blog. I can relate to you i too am a nurse with 2 boy’s 6 and 5. I have struggled with disordered eating in the past and body image issues. However running has kept me sane. I have had a love hate relationship with running in the past and used it as a crutch for my mental health but I am now in a much better place and I like you love to run. I am intuitively eating and running.
I would love to do a course in nutrition too but childcare is a problem at the moment.Maybe one day.
    Keep doing what your doing.

Thank you for your lovely message. I did my nutrition course online so it helped take the child care problem away. Although now I struggle with the confidence to do anything with it. I hope one day you get to follow your heart and do the course because if nothing else it has helped for me to understand my own behaviours with food and my families. X
