You are doing brilliantly if you are still with me. Lets get our abs working today. Did you know that working on your large muscle groups can burn more calories than working on lots of little ones. I like to pair mine on a couple of them i.e. legs with glutes. By doing this I … Continue reading Day 7: 12 day Christmas Challenge

I have been thoroughly enjoying a break away from all things running. Lots of decorating and organising around the house done so still very little sitting around 🙈 My legs have really only started to feel less achy today since my marathon on Sunday 😅 Definitely no running tomorrow so maybe a gentle parkrun with Ellie on Saturday if I can prise her from her bed. Training plan written before I’ve even entered anything but I need something to work towards so onwards I go starting next week 🤗 • • • • • #blogger #veryhealthycaterpillar #healthandfitnessblogger #runningblogger #running #marathontraining #marathontalk #mummyrunner #runtoinspire #runnerscommunity #runnersofinstagram #womensrunning #lifeontherun #womensrunninguk #YourRuns #runningcommunity #strava #runner #runmummyrun #thisgirlcan #trainingrun #ukrunchat #runnerslife #runchat #opentosponsorship
My beautiful bee 🐝 had her hair chopped today for the @officiallittleprincesstrust We went with 14” so it’s still a nice length. She has wanted to do it for months but I kept putting it off but inspired by a friend we finally took the plunge. I think she looks beautiful still with short hair and even more so for doing something so lovely 💖 #donatinghair #daughter #rapunzelnomore Thanks @jo_mc_art for doing it for her 🤗💇‍♀️
My very funky medal from yesterday’s race #marriottwaymarathon #medalmonday Feeling a little achy this morning. But with only one blister feeling impressed that my feet are in quite good condition. Sore throat and dehydration to deal with today 🙈🥇
With these 2 cheering me on at every race how could it possibly go wrong. #marriottswaymarathon made a good spectators marathon as the main checkpoints were at old railway stations. After we wondered over to Aylsham railway where I once did another race chase the train. So many fun races in Norfolk 🤗
So I did it and I am so bloody proud of myself right now. That’s ok right 😉 I always had the goal of getting somewhere near the 4hr mark. For most of the race right down to the last few miles I actually thought it would be a sub 4 but the wheels came off and the last 5k nearly killed me 🥵 Just a parkrun I kept telling myself. Have you any idea how long a bloody parkrun feels after you’ve already ran 23 miles 🤣🤦‍♀️ I didn’t give up even though I knew deep down it wasn’t happening. I walked every half mile for a few seconds and ran quicker when I ran... garmin has decided to not allow me to upload for maintenance so I’m not sure how much damage I did in those last 3 miles. But the overall moral to this story is I gave it literally everything I had and I’m so happy about that. This always would have been a PB race after my first one on the hottest day of the year was such a slog. I am so chuffed at how much of a massive PB it is. We are talking nearly an hour 😅 So it would seem hot weather does follow me around 🤣 on what has been the hottest day of this year so far too 🙈 I loved this marathon. I’ll be back next year for sure 🥇 I will likely write a blog all about the actual marathon but today I’m showing off my amazing time 🥇#marriottswaymarathon
We finally got to do some tail walking at our park run. It’s a popular role so we had to put our names down weeks ago. Ellie was very excited. We also have the school bunny with us this week so flopsy managed her first parkrun #parkrun #parkrunuk #pocketparkrun #tailwalking #volunteering
